We encourage you to attend sessions about issues and from presenters which you would not normally be familiar with or naturally sympathetic. As such the theme of the weekend is “healing our society’.
Unlike many other wonderful Limmud events around the world, the emphasis here is to discuss some of the big issues of the day whether religious, sociological, or political.

+Limmud is based on volunteering, and we have no paid full-time staff.

We are looking for only local artists only. Set up will be on Friday morning and take down before shabbat .
FAQs
+Pets? They are not allowed.
Shabbat prayers? There will be 3 types of services which will hopefully cater for all tastes.
Food? There will be snack meals on Thursday night and Friday lunch. Food can be bought on site.
Special food needs? Vegans , vegetarians, celeriac, and glutens will be catered for
On-line access during the event? We are not providing this.
Student and soldiers’ price? Price discounted.
Environment? We are trying to keep food waste and disposables to a minimum. There will be many sessions on climate education.
Language – we expect most of the presentations to be in Hebrew, the rest in English and French
Childcare. We are looking to have childcare facilities. We are waiting to see how many volunteers we have.

Budget
+we are a non-profit organisation with transparent reporting.
The total cost of putting on the event will be around 200,000 sheqel, much of which will be covered by entry fees. Most of the organisation is being done by volunteers.

Green policy.

We are looking to minimize food waste and the organic waste will be recycled at the Natural History Site nearby. We encourage you bring your own flask/cup for drinks.
We think that trying for a new zero policy is not sensible and this will be explained in one of the presentations during the weekend.
